Mireya Alvarez
As a seasoned educator, Mireya is considered a dedicated professional with a personal commitment to excellence in education. Her qualifications stem from more than 25 years as a church educator, as a teacher of TESOL for 12 years at the University of Honduras, and nine years as a missionary-teacher in Asia. Mireya has received teaching awards in both secular and ministry positions. She is committed to carry out her tasks with enthusiasm and creativity. Her heart’s desire is to serve effectively as an educator; as a leader of women’s ministries in the Hispanic community of the USA; and as a trainer in cross-cultural ministries.
Mireya is married to Bishop Miguel Alvarez and they have four children and one foster son (Daniel, 27, Michelle, 26, Enoc, 26, Mickey, 19, and Belle, 14).
