A Memorial To Dr. Robert E. Fisher

The measure of a man’s life does not consist in the abundance of his material blessings; nor does it consist of the offices, titles or achievements a man may acquire during his lifetime.  The true measure of a man is his influence on the lives of others – hisimpact on his family, his friends, those he meets and his community.

Dr. Robert E. Fisher was a spiritual giant of a man.  His influence on his family can readily be seen in the moral character, vibrant ministries and Christian lifestyles of his children and even in the personality and behavior of his grandchildren.

His enduring influence on the church can be seen in his untiring emphasis on restoring intimacy with God in Solemn Assemblies, dedicating his retirement years to promoting spiritual renewal, and his far-reaching efforts in uniting the streams of Pentecost.

His impact on society is highlighted by his initiative to link churches with local schools to provide assistance in various unfunded projects in Cleveland, Tennessee, and the creation of the Bradley Initiative for Church and Community.

Peniel was a state-certified drug/alcohol rehabilitation center when he was elected chairman; however his impact has been immeasurable.  As chairman of the Board of Directors of Peniel for nine years, he helped to guide Peniel to new heights in life-changing, family uniting, and addiction delivering success.  He led the Board of Directors in launching and funding a major expansion project.

The vacancy left  by his departure was devastating and has left a empty place in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.  He was a leader, pastor, friend and confidant.  He was greatly admired, highly respected and will always be remembered.
