Kathleen Sanders

Kathy received her Bachelors of Arts in Christian Education from Lee University. Over the years she has helped her husband plant over 52 churches through metro Evangelism. While planting churches in Denver, Colorado, Kathy started a "girl’s club" in her home which the international church asked her to format the base and write a manual which was the beginning of the Church of God "Girl’s Clubs."

As an author, Kathy’s latest book is Purposeful Programs, which she co-authored with Diana Hobbs. She is also the author of: The Kids Klub Manual, So You’re a Girl’s Club Counselor, How to Make Your YLA Click, Jesus Touching Women, ’89 LM Anniversary Program, The Call to Womanhood, and Growing Into Spiritual Maturity, which is also in Spanish.

She formulated and wrote the program for Silver Bells and D.O.R.C.A.S. – Daughters of Righteousness – Caring and Sharing. "Notes From My Apron Pocket" was the name of her five-minute daily radio program. In addition, she organized, wrote and taught the Bible study and counseling program Life Can Be Beautiful.

Kathy has been a contributing author to the Discipleship ’90 Program, Lighted Pathway, Unique, Pathway Press Sunday School Literature, The Peacefinder, Cadets, Peace Makers and The Pilot. She also contributed to Especially for You, Women of Devotion, Sitting at His Feet and Basketful of Blessings. She is presently author of The Apple Seed, a monthly newsletter on discipline and accountability of ones prayer life.

Kathy and her husband have just completed their 25th year as State Overseer and State Women’s Ministries President. Kathy served on the National Woman’s Ministries Board for seven years and was chairman of that board for four years. She has been on the Peniel Board of the past five years. The Sanders now live in Cleveland, TN.
