Patricia
(Tricia) Eagleson
In
the early 1980’s as a young divorced mother
of three who was extremely depressed and living
a life of hopelessness, I had a deep spiritual
need in my life. I committed my life to the Lord
Jesus Christ. Through a personal relationship with
Him I experienced the unconditional love of God
which has transformed my life from a woman void
of hope, joy, and a future – to a woman with
vision and purpose.
It was around that time that I had the unforgettable
opportunity of meeting Dr Marion Spellman, a woman
of God who is the Founder of Peniel Drug and Alcohol
Rehabilitation Center. Peniel is a place where
hurting men and woman can find help from more than
life of addictions- but the ministry of Peniel
is just as effective with people that are experiencing
rejection, loneliness and who are going through
difficulty coping with the struggles of life.
From 1982 until 1991, I attended Peniel Graduations
and Spiritual Emphasis Weeks each year and continued
my relationships with Bishop Harold and Dr. Marion
Spellman. But in 1991, the desire to relocate and
become more actively involved in ministering to
hurting men and women bound by addictive lifestyles
was burning in my heart. In June of 1992 my children
and I moved to Somerset, Pa. to be involved in
the ministry at Peniel.
Currently, I am one of the Registered Nurses in
Peniel’s Medical Department and Resident
Nurse where I assist the Medical Department in
providing health promotion education, completing
entry history and physical evaluations, coordination
of resident’s medical care and emergency
first-aide. I find the great satisfaction and professional
fulfillment as a member of the Peniel Medical Department
Staff serving the students who are finding hope,
healing, restoration and brand new life in Christ.
I have learned to serve the Lord and others with
a spirit of excellence while working at Peniel.
Currently I am completing a post graduate degree
as a Family Nurse Practitioner at the University
of Pittsburgh. As a Family Nurse Practitioner it
is my desire to provide primary health care to
our clients through our Medical Department.
I am grateful to the Lord for the call He has
on my life to use the gifts and talents He has
invested in me in the lives of the students. I
consider it a great honor and privilege to be involved
in the ministry at Peniel. |
