Constance Manley
I
am originally from Lanett, Alabama. I received Jesus Christ as
my Lord and Savior on February 25, 1991. Shortly after my conversion
God placed a strong desire in my heart to know Him and to minister
to His people.
In 1993, I served as a Youth Leader for one year at an Assembly
of God Church in Alabama. I have traveled to Panama, Ecuador,
and Israel to learn about the culture and to minister the gospel.
Later, I attended Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee in 1995
to study Sociology and the Bible. I graduated with honors from
Lee University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology
and with minor degrees in Religion and Anthropology. I worked
for Lee University for 6 years as a Resident Director. I coordinated
a Campus-wide Discipleship program known as The Edge for 2 years
and trained 20 students on how to lead small groups across campus.
I also led small discipleship groups for women of all ages for
3 years in the Cleveland community.
I came to work at Peniel Drug and Alcohol Treatment Center in
Johnstown, Pennsylvania in August 2002 to help those who were
hurting and addicted. I have worked in the Admissions Department,
assisted in Counseling and presently work with the Ladies Program.
Working at Peniel has been an amazing experience. I have been
given a wonderful opportunity to witness women who were once addicted
to drugs and/or alcohol, broken and hurting, transform their lives
by the power of God. There is hope here for those who truly want
to be freed from the chains of addiction. |
